C&P Regional Specialty 2023

We are excited to announce that C&P is hosting a Regional Specialty in Doswell, VA on November 4th and 5th. Our board and club members are working hard to make sure that the event is a success and that everyone has a great time. In addition to the fantastic lineup of prizes we have for each day of the event, we are also planning a club meeting, possibly over lunch, on Saturday. We’re adding a fun element with a raffle table as well. If you can, please plan to bring something for the raffle on Friday so we can set up ahead of the show. We will be posting more information about these and other event details soon, so stay tuned. We look forward to seeing you there!

C&P Draft Trials 2023

Mark your calendars! C&P is hosting an upcoming Draft Trial, open to all breeds. Join us for a thrilling competition that showcases the impressive skills and working abilities of your beloved dogs. With four all-breed draft trials spread across two days, participants will have the opportunity to engage in various categories: Novice, Open, Novice Brace, and Open Brace. We warmly welcome both club members and non-members, extending an invitation to dog owners of all breeds to participate and revel in the trials with their canine companions. Herding Event
Kent’s Store, VA | November 11, 2023
Discover the innate droving instincts of your Swissies at our Herding Event, where each dog gets the spotlight in two herding capability runs, supervised and conducted by a seasoned shepherdess. For a fee of $50, covering both runs, your dog will interact with our shepherdess’s sheep, showcasing the herding capabilities and instincts that have been deeply embedded in the breed for generations.
If available, please bring a Martingale collar; otherwise, one will be provided for your convenience.
